Steamed Barramundi

… barramundi is a very common fish in Australia and has a very soft texture when cooked… steamed barramundi is usually quite delicate…

Serves 2

2x 150gr barramundi fillet

1 tbsp soy

1 tbsp honey

2 tsp garlic

2 tsp ginger (fresh ginger slices are better)

1 tbsp dill

Garnish: lime, spring onion, chilli and coriander

Wash the barramundi fillets and remove any bones as necessary.

Place on a plate and score the fish. Add the garlic, ginger slices, soy, dill and honey.

Bring water to the boil and steam fish for approx. 10-12 minutes. You can either use a bamboo steaming basket or a plate inside a large pan (rest it on top of a small bowl so it is elevated above the water).

Garnish with lime, spring onion, chilli flakes and coriander.
